Ethnobotanicals (Biblical Ethnobotany)
Ethnobotanicals are technically plants which have any kind of cultural appreciation. By the power invested in me through the most high (god), I here by introduce Biblical Ethnobotany to the masses. The content is being updated on this site, to give viewers a sense of what the bible says about each botanical. Technically "ethnobotanicals" are the same as "herbs", but what differentiates this category of plants is that they tend to have a history of use in a spiritual or religious context, or any other industrial or cultural use such as wood or food. This is where I want to warn people of what the bible says. It does not condemn the use of plants when used in proper context, but it does condemn the use of plants in a "shamanic" context, which seems to be a trending new age deception going on today. Many are used ceremonially, and this is where the distinction is drawn between them and other botanicals used in herbalism, and yet still most are used as medicine. I don't believe that all of them are necessarily bad, and use discernment when selling anything. I must warn that these are to be researched, use within biblical morality, and not to be used in anyway that the bible condemns. Do not be deceived by the spirit of divination or new age teachings via "shamanic ethnobotanical" vendors online. 2 Timothy 4:3-4: "3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths." Also note that some of the plants in this section are sold for collectors or gardening purposes only.
