Product Overview

Goldenrod (Solidago gigantea) Seeds (200)

There are approximately 200 seeds in each pack. Most vendors are selling 100 seeds per pack. We go the extra mile to beat the competition while maintaining the highest quality possible.

Goldenrod has a vast history of use in herbalism. Herbalists use it for the following properties: astringent, cathartic, stypic, for treating haemorrhages, the blooms for fevers, and the oil is most notably diuretic, and it's used as anti-inflammatory, expectorant, astringent, antiseptic, and carminative. Many studies have been done on its complex phytochemicals, one looking at the antibacterial and antimutagenic activity of extracts made via the plant. It's believed to benefit the kidneys, urinary track, skin, allergies, and cardiovascular system.

Cultivation pointers: Sow in late fall. Lightly press into soil, or sprinkle on soil and then lightly cover with thin layer of dirt. You can also sprinkle them in a wild area. Goldenrod tolerates sandy soils, is a hearty plant, and can handle drought and poor soil. It will grow in the wild and even tolerate cold winters with lots of snow. They come back every single year.

Note: We ship flat rate 2 day priority mail with tracking, so it makes more sense to buy more than less because your shipping costs really won't go up much ( a few cents ) unless you start getting in the pounds, and even then it's not too bad. It costs as much to ship 1 seed pack as it does 10. Our seed prices are deliberately better than the competitors.
